This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of Your information when You use the Quiiq mobile application ("App") and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You. We use Your Personal data to provide and improve the App Service. By using the App, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • Account means a unique account created for You to access our App Service or parts of our App Service.
  • Affiliate means an entity that controls, is controlled by or is under common control with a party, where "control" means ownership of 50% or more of the shares, equity interest or other securities entitled to vote for election of directors or other managing authority.
  • Application/App refers to Quiiq, the mobile application provided by TICCO (The Indian Consultancy & Company).
  • Company (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our" in this Agreement) refers to TICCO (The Indian Consultancy & Company), 5A, 4th Floor, City Vista, Tower A, Suite #158, Fountain Road, Kharadi, Pune-411014, Maharashtra, India.
  • Country refers to Maharashtra, India.
  • Device means any device that can access the App such as a smartphone, tablet, or computer.
  • Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
  • Service refers to the App.
  • Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company. It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by the Company to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on behalf of the Company, to perform services related to the Service or to assist the Company in analyzing how the Service is used.
  • Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of an app session).
  • You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Personal Data

While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. Usage Data may include information such as:

  • App version and build number
  • Unique device identifiers (e.g., IDFA, Android ID)
  • Time and date of Your app usage
  • App usage patterns and preferences

App Permissions and Data Access

Quiiq requires certain permissions to provide its chat functionality. When you install and use the app, you will be prompted to grant the following permissions:

Required Permissions:

  • Camera: To capture and send photos/videos in chat conversations
  • Microphone: To record and send voice messages
  • Storage/Photos: To save and share images, videos, and files from your device
  • Contacts: To help you connect with friends and colleagues (optional - you can choose to skip this)
  • Notifications: To send push notifications for new messages and important updates

Optional Permissions:

  • Location: To share your location in chats or find nearby contacts (only when explicitly requested)

Important: You can manage these permissions at any time through your device's settings. Denying certain permissions may limit app functionality - for example, denying camera access means you cannot send photos in chats.

Push Notifications

We may send push notifications to your device for:

  • Chat messages and updates
  • Service announcements
  • Account security alerts
  • Feature updates

You can manage push notification preferences in your device settings or within the app.

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our Service: Including enabling chat functionality, account management, and service monitoring
  • To manage Your Account: To manage Your registration and provide access to app features

Personal Information Transferred from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland to the United States

TICCO (The Indian Consultancy & Company) operates in countries outside the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, such as in the United States of America. If you are located in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, this means that we may transfer personal information outside of your country. Such transfers are made using appropriate safeguards and supplementary measures, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for Controller-to-Controller and Controller-to-Processor Transfers ("Safeguards"). You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting the Personal Data that We have collected about You.

If a security breach causes an unauthorized intrusion into our system that materially affects you, then TICCO (The Indian Consultancy & Company) will notify you as soon as possible and later report the action we took in response.

Children's Privacy

If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, We take steps to remove that information from Our servers.

For users between 13 and 18 years old, we recommend parental guidance when using chat features.

Our Service may contain links to other mobile applications or websites that are not operated by Us. If You click on a third-party link, You will be directed to that third-party's site. We strongly advise You to review the Privacy Policy of every site You visit.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by:

  • Posting the new Privacy Policy within the app
  • Sending a push notification or email
  • Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy

Depending on Your location, You may have additional rights regarding Your personal data under applicable privacy laws (such as GDPR in Europe or CCPA in California). Legal Basis for Processing (EEA Visitors/Customers Only)

For GDPR compliance, TICCO (The Indian Consultancy & Company) is the data controller responsible for Your personal data under this Privacy Policy.

California Privacy Rights

Under California's Shine the Light law, Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83, California residents have the right to request in writing from businesses with whom they have an established business relationship, (a) a list of the categories of personal information, such as name, e-mail and mailing address including billing ZIP code and the type of services provided to the customer, that a business has disclosed to third parties (including affiliates that are separate legal entities) during the immediately preceding calendar year for the third parties' direct marketing purposes and (b) the names and addresses of all such third parties. Additionally, California law requires that we indicate whether we honor "Do Not Track" settings in your browser concerning targeted advertising. We do not currently alter our practices when a Do Not Track signal is received. Requests to Know

You have the right to request that we disclose:

  • The categories of personal information we have collected about you
  • The categories of personal information about you we have sold or disclosed for a business purpose
  • The categories of sources from which we have collected personal information about you
  • The business or commercial purposes for selling or collecting personal information about you
  • The categories of personal information sold or shared, if any, about you, as well as the categories of third parties to whom the personal information was sold, by category of personal information for each party to whom personal information was sold

We do not sell, and have not in the prior 12 months sold, personal information about California residents. Therefore, we have not included a "Do Not Sell My Personal Info" link on our app. If our practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and take any other action to comply with applicable law.

Requests to Delete

You have the right to request that we delete any personal information about you that we have collected. Upon receiving a verified request to delete personal information, we will do so unless otherwise required or authorized by law.

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf. You must provide an authorized agent written permission to submit a request on your behalf, and we may require that you verify your identity directly with us. Alternatively, an authorized agent that has been provided power of attorney pursuant to Probate Code sections 4000-4465 may submit a request on your behalf.

Methods for Submitting Consumer Requests and Our Response to Requests

You may submit a request for access and requests to delete personal information about you via email at [email protected].

Upon receipt of a request, we may ask you for additional information to verify your identity. Any additional information you provide will be used only to verify your identity and not for any other purpose.

We will acknowledge the receipt of your request within ten (10) business days of receipt. Subject to our ability to verify your identity, we will respond to your request within 45 calendar days of receipt. If we require more time (up to 90 days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. In order to protect your privacy and the security of personal information about you, we verify your request by email.

Any disclosures we provide will only cover the 12-month period preceding the verifiable consumer request's receipt. The response we provide will also explain the reasons we cannot comply with a request, if applicable.

We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell you why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.

The Right to Non-Discrimination

You have the right not to be discriminated against for the exercise of your California privacy rights described above. Unless permitted by the California Consumer Privacy Act, we will not:

  • Deny you goods or services
  • Charge you different prices or rates for goods or services, including through granting discounts or other benefits, or imposing penalties
  • Provide you a different level or quality of goods or services
  • Suggest that you may receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services
